About The Event

The Queen City HBCU Cookout Scholarship Fundraiser is one of Charlotte’s premier HBCU community events, bringing together alumni, students, families, and supporters from Historically Black Colleges and Universities across the region.

Hosted by Queen City HBCUs, Inc., this annual event celebrates HBCU pride while supporting scholarship initiatives that help future students pursue higher education. Attendees can enjoy music, great food, games, vendors, networking opportunities, and the chance to connect with representatives from 25 HBCUs and their local alumni chapters.

Whether you’re reconnecting with fellow alumni, exploring HBCU opportunities, supporting local businesses, or simply enjoying a day of fellowship and fun, the Queen City HBCU Cookout offers something for everyone.

Join us as we celebrate our HBCU legacy, strengthen our community, and invest in the next generation of leaders.
